TheGrand Hotel was built between 1862 and 1867 and was designed by Cuthbert Broderick.This imposing hotel was built in a prime position on St Nicholas Cliff allowing guests of unparalleled views of
the coast line, the hotel was described as being the
most splendid of the Second Empire ever to be built in england. The RAF initial training wing was billited here during the second world war.
