Paradise
The Holiday makers paradise, with its expance of clean sand (which is still the same today) its ice cream vendors and pebble stalls, you would here the well known cry of, Hokey pokey a penny a lump, thats the stuff to make you jump. This photograph taken about 1900 shows the hustle and bustle of a busy seaside town, you will notice the ladies with their parasols to keep the sun off, a pure white complexion was the fashion in them days, any sign of redness was regarded as being terribly common.
